The Actes cover the proceedings of a week-long conference held in Tours, France, in February, 1997, that was sponsored by the Centre díÉtudes Supérieures de la Renaissance to mark the 500th anniversary of the composerís death. Melanie Mayer Melanie Mayer's latest book on women's history, Staking her Claim, has just been released by Ohio University Press. It is the biography of Belinda Mulrooney, who was a very successful entrepreneur in the Klondike and Alaskan gold rush era at the turn of the last century. Mayer is professor emerita of psychology.
