Assistant Professor of Women's Studies After receiving a B A. in mathematics from Miranda House College, University of
Delhi, Mongia pursued an M.S. in mathematics and an M.A. in communication studies
at Northern Illinois University. She comes to Santa Cruz from the University of Illinois,
Urbana-Champaign, where she received her Ph.D. in speech communication with an emphasis
in cultural studies. Mongia's primary intellectual interests are feminist, Marxist,
and postcolonial theory. Her current project charts a history of state technologies
for regulating international migration. |
