article in Natural History magazine The October issue of Natural History magazine features an article
by Terrie Williams, professor of ecology and evolutionary biology, about
her research on Weddell seals in Antarctica. The article focuses on the
seals' remarkable temperature-regulating system. Staff member Connell O'Donovan wins prize in writing contest Connell O'Donovan, program manager for UCSC Summer Session, won a second place award in an annual writing contest sponsored by the organization Affirmation: Gay and Lesbian Mormons. O'Donovan received $500 for his essay "Stumbling Towards Zion," which recounts his unsuccessful quest for sanctuary and refuge within the Mormon Church. |
