Scott Berlin is new associate director for University Dining Services

In the latest phase of the university's transition to self-operation, Scott Berlin has been hired as the associate director for University Dining Services. Berlin brings 26 years of experience in the food service industry to UCSC. His most recent position was at UC San Diego, where he spent over 17 years as food service coordinator.

In addition to his wealth of dining services experience, Berlin's areas of expertise include strategic planning, human resources, union supported environment, conference development, menu design and costing, safety and sanitation, budgeting and forecasting, financial accountability, and marketing and developing community programs and relationships.

Berlin has been an active member of the National Association of Colleges and University Food Services since 1986.
