Denice D. Denton formally became UCSC's ninth chancellor in an investiture conducted by UC President Robert C. Dynes on campus Friday. The ceremony was one of three "Celebration 2005" events occurring on Thursday through Saturday that included an academic symposium (with an update on faculty diversity) and the Scholarships Benefit Dinner.
