Banff Mountain Film Festival comes to Santa
Cruz Feb. 24-26
The Banff Mountain
Film Festival World Tour brings the spirit of outdoor adventure
to Santa Cruz this weekend at the Rio Theater. Proceeds benefit
UCSC Recreation and the Wilderness Orientation Program. Showings
are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a family matinee on
Sunday at 2 p.m. The Rio Theater is located at 1205 Soquel Avenue
in Santa Cruz.

This year's tour features a collection of the most inspiring
and thought-provoking active, environmental, and adventure mountain
films. Traveling from remote landscapes and cultures to up close
and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports, the 2005/2006
World Tour is an exhilarating and provocative exploration of
the mountain world.

Mountain Culture at The Banff Centre. Screenings of the World
Tour are presented by National Geographic and Dunham Bootmakers.
