Research partnership to focus on 'artificial retina'

Millions of people blinded by retinal diseases could be helped by a new research partnership involving three universities--including UCSC. The universities, as well as five Department of Energy national laboratories and a private company, have signed agreements to form a partnership in an effort to speed the design and development of an artificial retina.
