Scientists concerned that harmful algae persists in Monterey Bay

Algae that caused "red tides" in Monterey Bay last summer continue to show up in water samples, prompting concern among scientists involved in a Central Coast ocean monitoring program. Marine masterpieces to be exhibited at Seymour Center

Entries came from as far away as Wisconsin for the Marine Masterpieces Student Art Contest & Exhibition at Seymour Marine Discovery Center. The wide-ranging artwork will be on display from March 12 through spring. Artists were required to “communicate something about marine life/science, ocean conservation, or marine scientists.” [More]
