UCSC
filmmaker focuses on the 'faceless, voiceless'
Award-winning
documentary filmmaker Renee Tajima-Peña, an associate professor
of community studies, takes pride in giving voice to faceless, voiceless
people. She has produced an episode of a PBS-TV miniseries, The New
Americans, airing later this month. She'll follow that with a two-hour
documentary about four Americans returning to their ancestral homelands,
My Journey Home, set to air in April, also on PBS. More
