American presidency is lecture topic

Peggy Downes-Baskin, a senior lecturer in women's studies, will present a talk titled, "The American Presidency" on Thursday, March 9, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Museum of Art and History at the McPherson Center, 705 Front St., Santa Cruz.

Downes-Baskin, coauthor of the book The New Older Woman (1996), has taught and written on presidential elections and leadership styles for more than two decades. Her lecture is a part of the Humanities Lecture Series, sponsored jointly by UCSC's Humanities Division and the Museum of Art and History.
