Sibling Tribalry, a local group of two sisters, performed a story from their repertoire
of African and African American folktales. Akilah Crossdale, 13, told a folktale
about an ambitious man who wanted to marry the daughter of the sun and the moon.
Her sister, Kamaria Marden, 9, accompanied her on the djembe drum. Photo: Victor Schiffrin Next photo To the Currents home page |
