Alumni Association honors award winners for 1999

The UCSC Alumni Association held its annual awards luncheon on Saturday, February 5. The association honored Barry Bowman, professor of biology, with the Distinguished Teaching Award; Nicolette Czarrunchick, women's studies manager, with the Outstanding Staff Award; and posthumously awarded Terence Unity Freitas, an environmental activist and alumnus of Crown College in 1997, with the Alumni Achievement Award.

Also honored were undergraduate students who received the College Service Awards and Scholarship Awards.
