Diane Gifford-Gonzalez elected president
of archaeological society
Anthropology professor Diane Gifford-Gonzalez has been elected
to a two-year term as president of the Society of Africanist
Archaeologists, a 200-member international association of archaeologists
working in Africa.
This summer, she was also elected to a three-year term as archaeology
representative on the American Anthropological Association's
Long-Range Planning Committee.
