Join John Dizikes and others for a weekend
of Shakespeare and Shaw
Join UC Santa Cruz Professor Emeritus John Dizikes for a behind-the-scenes
experience at Shakespeare
Santa Cruz. Meet performers and technical crew from this
season's productions of As You Like It, Pygmalion,
and King Lear; get backstage tours of the Mainstage Theater
and Festival Glen; and enjoy talks and panel discussions featuring
Dizikes, Shakespeare Santa Cruz Artistic Director Paul Whitworth,
and Stanford Professor of Humanities Stephen Orgel. The event,
titled a Weekend with Shakespeare and Shaw, will take place
on campus Friday through Sunday, August 11-13 (see detailed
schedule below).
The cost is $25 for adults and $10 for youth. Play attendance
is not included; however, the event schedule includes time to
see each play.
