Slugs soar at national badminton championships

UCSC's Lauren Todt won the women's singles title at the 2007 National Collegiate Badminton Championships, held March 24-25 at UC Berkeley.

Another Slug, Serge Blanchet, last year's collegiate men's singles champion, finished third, as did the women's doubles team of Lauren Todt and Tran Nguyen and the mixed doubles team of Lauren Todt and Serge Blanchet.

UCSC finished in fifth place overall.
