Danny Scheie nominated for two Bay Area theater awards

Theater arts professor Danny Scheie has been nominated as a finalist for two
2006 Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards. He was honored in the category of
“Supporting Performance, Male” for two different California Shakespeare Theater
productions, Merry Wives of Windsor and Restoration Comedy. The winners will be
announced in April.
Scheie has previously earned four Bay Area Critics Circle awards and four
Dean Goodman Awards, as well as GLAAD Media and Robby nominations for his
work in Los Angeles. His career includes more than a dozen seasons with
Shakespeare Santa Cruz, where he served as artistic director from 1992 to
1995.
