Aída Hurtado delivers keynote address at Arizona State University

Aída Hurtado, professor of psychology and director of the Chicano/Latino Research Center, delivered the keynote address at a Hispanic Heritage Month event October 12 at the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences at Arizona State University.

Hurtado's talk, "Restitution of Self: From Group Trauma to Group Transformation," followed a poster session by ASU faculty and students who showcased their work with and for the Hispanic community. Hurtado discussed the incarceration of Latino youth and pathways to educational empowerment.
