Author of book on affirmative action in admissions to speak October 27

Bob Laird, former director of admissions at UC Berkeley and author of the book, The Case for Affirmative Action In University Admissions, will give a talk at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 27, at the Merrill College Events Center.

Laird’s talk will be followed by a question-and-answer session and a book-signing.

The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the American Indian Resource Center, the Office of Admissions, and the Educational Partnership Center.
