Staff member Connell O'Donovan wins prize
for essay
Connell O'Donovan, program manager for UCSC Summer Session,
won the first-place award this year in an annual writing contest
sponsored by the organization Affirmation:
Gay and Lesbian Mormons.
O'Donovan received a $1,000 prize for his essay, titled "'Losing
My Religion' - or, How I Baked a Custard Pudding and Lost My
Belief in Mormonism." The award was announced October
4 at the annual Affirmation General Conference, held this year
in Denver.
