Ashish Sahni appointed assistant chancellor
Chancellor Denice D. Denton has announced the appointment of
Ashish Sahni as assistant chancellor, effective June 1.
Sahni comes to UC Santa Cruz from UC San Francisco, where he
served as the interim associate vice chancellor for student
affairs. Prior to this he served as the CAO for Student Academic
Affairs and the Graduate Division and as the founding director
of the Office of Institutional Research at UCSF.
Before joining UC, Sahni served as a budget and information
management specialist and a policy analyst at the Office of
Management and Budget, Executive Office of the President, and
as a special research affiliate for the U.S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development.
Sahni holds a M.P.P. degree from Georgetown University and
a B.A. in economics from UC Berkeley.
