Forty-three UCSC graduates are serving in the Peace Corps around the world. UCSC graduates have been well represented in the Peace Corps over the years, with 576 alumni serving since the Peace Corps began in 1961.

In the Peace Corps rankings, mid-sized institutions are those with between 5,001 and 15,000 undergraduates. Several UC institutions—UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Davis, and UC Santa Barbara--are in the top 25 Peace Corps ranking for large campuses. (See rankings for all categories.)

Informational meetings about the Peace Corps are held on campus throughout the year for those thinking about becoming volunteers. The next meetings will take place on Wednesday, February 15, and Wednesday, March 15, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Charles E. Merrill Lounge at Merrill College.
