Linda Spradley named new athletic director

Linda P. Spradley, who has worked in athletic departments at the University of Northern Colorado, San Diego State University, and Simpson University, is UCSC's new athletic director. She will begin work on February 1.

Spradley most recently was associate athletic director for internal operations/senior women's administrator at Northern Colorado.

Spradley has extensive coaching experience, including three years as head basketball coach at Arizona State University and 14 years as head softball coach at San Diego State. She played two years of professional softball and competed in basketball and field hockey as a student.
