The Recreation Department is offering the following classes.

East Indian Cooking
Thursday, May 5, from 4 to 7 p.m
Village kitchen
$32, includes instruction and full dinner
Let Chef Jozseph Schultz, formerly of India Joze Restaurant,
show you the techniques to whip up East Indian feasts for all
occasions. Appetizers, relishes/salsas/chutneys, fresh breads,
curries, rice dishes, and desserts will all part of the menu.
Experienced cooks and neophytes alike are enthusiastic about
this blend of culinary, anthropological, and nutritional tips.
Vegetarians and carnivores alike are welcome. Participants will
help with clean up.
Making your Own Body and Bath Products
Wednesday, May 4, from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Women's Center
$25 UCSC students/$30 general
In this workshop, instructor Laurie Mount will teach you how
to make your own body scrubs, lip balm, and aromatherapy bath
salts. Scrubs are used in the shower as a weekly exfoliant,
removing old skin, stimulating surface circulation, and nourishing
skin. The class will cover the different properties of the ingredients
that are used. All materials provided.
