Appointments

Greg Gaither has been appointed the new director of Academic Information Systems; he will begin on March 21.

Gaither is currently associate director of Information Technology Services at California State University, Fresno, a position he has held since 2002. He is also director of the Central Valley Internet Project, a university-owned Internet service provider that he founded in 1996 to generate revenue for university technology initiatives. He has a B.A. in English literature and an M.A. in creative writing, both from CSU Fresno.

As AIS director, Gaither will report directly to Mark Cianca in his new role as director of the Program Management Office. He also will receive direction from AIS system steward Francisco Hernandez and will collaborate on the overall management of AIS.
