Author Alice Walker coming for King Convocation

Alice Walker, who won the Pulitzer Prize in 1983 for The Color Purple, is coming to UCSC on January 23. She will be the keynote speaker for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Convocation. Her appearance will be free and open to the public. More

After September 11: related news, including information on a November 27 event, "Muslims in the Middle," featuring Agha Saeed, president of the American Muslim Alliance. (Saeed's visit has been cancelled because he was invited to attend a meeting that day with President Bush.)
