UCSC presenting 'radiant star of the sitar' Ustad Vilayat Khan

Widely regarded as the greatest living sitar player, Indian musician Ustad Vilayat Khan's public performances have become increasingly rare. Audiences will have the chance on June 2, however, to learn why Khan was called the "radiant star of the sitar" by the late Indian President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed. "The Classical Music of India" concert in Cupertino will also feature the next generation of great Indian musicians, including two of Khan's sons. More
